Ontario municipal election rules require us to collect your contributor information before any donation is made. After you submit this form, you will choose how to complete your contribution.

Contributions may only be accepted from individuals who are normally resident in Ontario, in accordance with the Municipal Elections Act, 1996. Corporate, union, and other prohibited contributions are not permitted.

Campaign finance compliance

Contribution rules

All contributions must comply with Ontario municipal campaign finance rules. Review the following before donating.

  • Ontario Resident Requirement

    Contributions may only be accepted from individuals who are normally resident in Ontario, in accordance with the Municipal Elections Act, 1996.

  • Individual Contributions Only

    Only individuals who are normally resident in Ontario may make contributions to this campaign using their own funds. Contributions must be made by the contributor personally and not on behalf of another person or organization.

  • No Corporate or Union Contributions

    Contributions from corporations, trade unions, associations, partnerships, organizations, governments, municipalities, school boards, federal or provincial political parties, constituency associations, and other prohibited contributors are not permitted.

  • Contribution Limits

    The maximum contribution from any individual to this campaign is $1,200. In addition, an individual may not contribute more than $5,000 in total to candidates running for the same municipal council or local board. These limits include the value of any goods or services contributed to a campaign.
